The ACLU of Delaware (ACLU-DE) works to preserve and advance civil liberties and civil rights in the State of Delaware as enshrined in the United States and Delaware Constitutions through education and advocacy without consideration of political association.

We are committed to ensuring that Delaware’s laws and policies make reproductive freedom a reality for everyone — no matter where they live or how much is in their bank account. Through litigation, advocacy, and public education, we strive to ensure that every patient in need is able to receive the full range of reproductive healthcare. We stand ready to remove barriers and expand abortion rights, block efforts to strip pregnant people of their bodily autonomy and ensure that individuals have agency in their own reproductive decisions.

The Black Girl Health Collective aims to create healthy informed communities by curating spaces to educate and promote autonomy in wellness and wholeness.

We envision a world where black women, girls, gender expansive people and under-represented communities, clinicians, providers and allies at all stages of the life course have the access, resources and safe space to make the best informed and autonomous decisions for themselves. We radically reimagine community health where barriers in power dynamics and economic limitations are deconstructed.

Black Mothers in Power (BMIP) seeks to eradicate racial health disparities for Black birthing people and Black babies throughout Delaware.

We envision a state where all Black birthing people are informed about their birthing rights, have autonomy over their reproductive decisions, and are treated equitably in the healthcare system. Our exclusive members-only platforms are an integral part of changing the birthing experience for all Black people in Delaware. All members immediately unlock access to Birth Justice training at no additional cost.

You’ll contribute to an active social justice committee and network with other local birthing people and Birthworkers to advocate for systematic changes that genuinely save lives.

The Delaware Coalition Against Domestic Violence (DCADV) is the statewide, nonprofit coalition of agencies and individuals working to support the empowerment of victims of domestic violence and their children through access to services and legal remedies. DCADV seeks to change the societal conditions that support sexism, racism, homophobia, and other oppressions and which contribute to the continued presence of domestic and sexual violence in intimate relationships.

Since its founding, the Coalition has engaged in a wide variety of activities that encompass public education, economic justice, training, prevention, and systems advocacy initiatives. It is through these efforts that DCADV is able to work closely with the justice, health care, education, advocacy, and social service communities in facilitating the creation of effective policies and programs that will serve the interests of victims and their children in Delaware.

Planned Parenthood of Delaware (PPDE) works to actively promote reproductive health and responsible sexual behavior through the provision of comprehensive high-quality education, counseling, and medical services.

We support the availability of these services for all, including individuals whose access to other sources of help is limited and promote public policy and understanding that supports reproductive health and family planning.

The Southern Delaware Alliance for Racial Justice (SDARJ) is a non-partisan organization that educates, informs, and advocates for racial justice, equality, and fair opportunity.

Our work aims to educate for change through knowledge and understanding of past and current racial issues and conditions, enrich our cultural environment through multi-racial collaboration, address racial and criminal injustice and advocate for ways to improve the criminal justice system in Delaware, collaborate with like-minded groups to challenge structural and systemic racism, and promote positive change for the future of our youth.

Women’s March Sussex – Delaware (WMS – DE) is a Delaware grass roots organization located in Sussex County, Delaware. WMS – DE was born out of the national Women’s March. We promote active participation in the political process on the local, state and national levels.

Our organization brings together women and allies in support of women’s rights including equal rights, equal pay, reproductive justice, affordable healthcare, affordable childcare, racial justice, voting rights, freedom from violence, LGBTQ+ rights, immigrant rights, fair wages, access for persons with disabilities, environmental protections, and other critical areas of focus. Our movement is inclusive, open to everyone who supports women’s rights, civil rights, and the health, equality, and safety of all humans.

The First State Abortion Fund is a local, volunteer-powered program rooted in a reproductive justice framework, with the mission of breaking down financial barriers and increasing abortion access. Our fund provides financial assistance for the procedure itself and also offers practical support to help individuals get to their appointment with as minimal stress as possible.

Orgullo Delaware is the first and only organization that centers serving Delaware LGBTQIA+ Latines and their families in providing vital bilingual, culturally competent clinical support throughout the lifespan and the sexuality spectrum. Orgullo Delaware offers mental health support, coordinates access to gender affirming resources, and advocates for the rights of LGBTQIA+ Latines throughout the state of Delaware.

The Delaware Sexuality and Gender Collective provides vital resources and programming to the LGBTQIA+ community in Delaware. Initiatives include connection to pro bono legal resources, meal support during recovery from gender affirming surgery, access to free gender affirming clothing, and continued education, training, and programming around gender and sexuality. The DSGC also supports dozens of other nonprofits and community groups throughout the state, offering event partnerships, financial sponsorship, and mentorship.
